Olivia Parker.
As a graduate architect, my journey has been shaped by a passion for creating spaces that enrich the human experience. After completing my first year of my Master of Interior Architecture (MIA) in 2024, an internship led to a full-time role at an award winning Architecture and Interiors Company. Embracing this exciting opportunity, I put my thesis on hold to dive into the industry and apply my skills in real-world projects.
My academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, where I developed a strong conceptual understanding of design and architectural principles. While architecture introduced me to the power of spatial storytelling, it was during my Master’s in Interior Architecture that I discovered my true passion—crafting spaces that shape how people feel, interact, and connect. This transition refined my focus on the human experience within built environments and deepened my appreciation for materiality, lighting, and spatial flow.
Throughout my studies, I worked on real-world client briefs, strengthening my technical expertise in ArchiCAD and SketchUp while refining my ability to design with both creativity and precision. Now, as a graduate architect, I integrate my design knowledge into projects that challenge me to think critically and push boundaries.
Beyond architecture, I value balance in all aspects of life. My background in representative sport and my work at Les Mills have instilled in me the importance of movement, wellness, and discipline—principles that influence my approach to design. Whether I’m running marathons, exploring New Zealand and Australia's landscapes, sketching or refining a design concept, I am driven by the pursuit of excellence and meaningful impact.
I believe that architecture and interior design should do more than serve a function—they should create environments that inspire, uplift, and support the people who inhabit them. As I continue to grow in my career, I remain committed to designing spaces that leave a lasting impression and enhance the way people experience the world around them.

I currently live in Sydney, Australia. A city that offers an inspiring blend of architectural heritage, dynamic urban growth, and a thriving design community. With its ever-evolving industry and strong focus on innovation and sustainability, Sydney provides the perfect environment to immerse myself in forward-thinking architecture and contribute to its exciting future.
